Tired of the old bubbles and Jordan almonds?

Here are Kismet Event’s Top 5 Unique Wedding Favors, just for you!

1. Sandals/Flip Flops - www.partyflops.com is so far our favorite website.  It is incredibly easy to use and gives a quick quote.  Or for those of you on a budget, sometimes stores like Old Navy or the Gap have a sale and you can buy a bunch and tag them yourselves.

2. Salt and Pepper shakers -These are one of the cutest keepsakes on the list.  Because of their imperishability and value, they are perfect for the couple with a small and intimate wedding, who truly want to thank their close guests for attending.

3. Cupcake Towels - These are a relatively new, and very hot wedding favor right now.  You can order them online, or make them yourselves! They are cute, can be matched to any color scheme, and are also useful!  (A towel might come in handy during the champagne toast!)

4. Personalized Sunscreen - No one likes sun burns or skin damage!  As the hotter months come closer, show your guests that you care about them and their skin. This is a great idea for anyone with an outside ceremony or reception, and those with a larger guest list, (especially if guests are from out-of-town).

5. Plant Favors - In this world of Global Warming and deforestation, do your part to help the environment, and give out partially grown plants as wedding favors!  www.MarthaStewartWeddings.com has tons of articles on how to make your own.  Any local florist/supermarket florist could also make some for you.  Looking for a more affordable option?  You could also just buy packets of seeds, and tastefully pair them with ribbon in a small planting pot.

Here are 5 quick tips for all you Grooms out there to be as helpful as possible and make for a stress free wedding.

1.  Smile and focus on positive feelings.  Your bride will no doubt be stressed, so she will need you to be the happy one. :)

2. Do yourselves both a favor and consider signing up for a bride and groom dance class.  Your bride will be impressed by your iniative, and your guests will be entertained.

3.  Write a loving letter to the parents of your bride, thanking them for their daughter’s hand in marriage.  This will help ensure that your new half of the family and you start off with a great and thoughtful relationship!

4. Research some displays, cakes, or themes, and provide suggestions about which ones you liked.  Your bride and you should plan this big day together!

5. Plan an amazing honeymoon.  Take your time to research the different options.  And take into account what you would both want. Know your destination, and maybe research a few fun things you can do while you are there.  The more you plan ahead, the more worry-free it will be as your drive off ino the sunset (or airport). :)

Red lips are back and fiercer than ever!  Not only are they empowering, but they have a sweet, 50s-glam effect.  Make a statement at your wedding, and let those lips pop!  Your groom will spot them from the end of that white aisle. :)

Celebrities Anne Hathaway, Nicole Richie and Zoe Saldana are pictured rocking the red.
